The event kicked off with a welcome note from industry experts, who shared their insights on the current state of APIs and the potential for growth in the field. Attendees were given a unique opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in API technology, including how APIs are being used to drive digital transformation and how they can be leveraged to create new business opportunities.

The event also featured with a Golonag profiling 101 with optimizing our APIs by Mr Raveen Perera and gRPC testing with Postman by Mr. Kaveesha Gimhana

The highlight of the day was the Student Expert Announcement, where the winners of the Postman student expert challenge got a token of appreciation from Mr. Sajeetharan Sinnathurai, and the Q&A session for the attendees to ask questions of the speakers and receive feedback from industry experts, along with winning some limited-edition swags from Postman.

Overall, the first ever API Day Sri Lanka was a huge success, providing a platform for the API community to connect, share knowledge, and drive innovation. It was a testament to the power of APIs and their potential to shape the future of technology and business.

All of this would not have been possible if not for the tireless efforts of the Postman team, particularly Mr. Ali Mustuf Shaikh and Miss Aanchal Mishra, the Postman Student Community Sri Lanka (Suvin Nimnaka, Kaveesha Gimhana, Nisal Renuja Palliyaguru, Maleesha Gunarathna), and everyone who took part in the event and provided support in a variety of ways.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s API Day Sri Lanka, where we can continue to celebrate the power of APIs and their impact on innovation and progress.
